Toy Tested Tuesdays

As you can see from the picture above Elle-girl loves all things soft and furry, and red.
However, you won't find many things of the soft and furry kind in this thread.
You also won't find anything of the Fisher Price kind here either.
What you will find each week is a review of good quality, educational toys that we like or ones that we hope to obtain. These toys are either made in the USA, or meet and exeed USA safety standards. These toys are lead and toxin free.
I will not only review these toys for you, but I will go a step further and search the web to find these amazing toys at the lowest prices available to you!
Come on moms (and curious Grandma's) you can't beat that!

So join me here today and every Tuesday as we test our toys!
First item on our list one of our favorites we play with everyday.
Its our stacking rings from Melissa and Doug

Why we like them: Even when Elle-girl wasn't old enough to stack the rings she still loved to roll the little red ball around and clack the rings together. The reccomended age for this toy is 18mths. But just a few weeks ago Elle-girl was able to slide the rings onto the post all by herself! I was thrilled to see such fine motor skills brought about by excercises in toys such as this one.
Something to keep in mind: The rings on this toy slide onto a very narrow and long post. When Elle-girl was very small I would empty the rings off of the post and put the post out of her reach because it could very easily be pushed in her mouth and down her throat or it could possiably poke out an eye if the child should trip and fall while carrying it around. So if you do purchase this toy use supervision with your child until you feel they are able to be left alone with it.
Best price out there?
Fatbrain toys.com $6.93 Cheaper than E-bay by 6cents!
I love this site and you will probably see me post many things from this site because they offer so many toxin free educational toys its ridiculas!

We have this toy. Grace still plays with it. You're right, you have to watch the pole - it could be dangerous! Great price you found too - I think we paid 9.99
