Port Royal by Lantern, Tour

Have you ever wondered what John Montgomery thought as he sat out on a long hunters journey? Or perhaps you have always wanted to know how early settelers wives made a Fort into a home? Just how mysterious was that historic night that Dr. Hopson tended to the Bell Family and their spirit troubles?
You can find the answers to these questions and more like a first hand account of the Cherokee traveling the Trail of Tears, what really happened during the Tobacco Wars and the theroies surronding the end of the Silk Mill, on a moonlit Lantern tour of Historic Port Royal.
This coming Thursday starting at 6pm tour groups will step back into Port Royal's past, with groups leaving the Port Royal State Historic Park Interpretive Center every twenty minuets until 9pm. Each stop along the way will be between 8-10min long consisiting of about an hour long tour.
The tour is Free! Afterwards on your way out be sure to stop by the bonfire for refreshments and perhaps more historic tales with some locals from the community. This event will surely be a perfect Autumn evening for the whole family! The tour is not frightening, or meant to be scary, but perhaps revisiting some of Port Royals most famous notables will send a bit of a chill up your spine. Just in time for Halloween!
For more information and directions you can contact Port Royal State Historic Park at 931-358-9696 and someone will be glad to return your call!
