A fun way to talk to your children about germs

Flu season is upon us and its important to teach your children how to properly cough into their arms as well as how to suds up at the sink. But the all time favorite toddler question is "Why?"

Now you can use the following demonstrations to show to them how germs spread from our hands on to our friends and objects we touch.

• 1st take a little bit of gliter and shake it on the palm of your child's hand
• Next do things that most children do, give a high five or hand shake, or have them touch your hand or mouth.
• Then you can go on to touch toys or door knobs.

The results are that they can see the glitter or "germs" spread to everything they touch.

• Finnaly! Whats the best way to get that glitter off your hands? Soap and water! Scrub scrub scrub the germs away!
